Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my Braun Series 9 show “full” after about one hour when charging with the tizi Tankrüssel, even though the battery is not fully charged?
The newer revision of the Braun Series 9 uses a simplified, timer-based charging indicator. The display activates a charging symbol for approximately one hour and then switches off automatically. This indicator is not continuously measuring the actual battery capacity.
The original Braun power supply is matched to this one-hour timer concept and delivers a higher charging current. When charging via USB with the tizi Tankrüssel, the shaver operates within standard USB power parameters. Due to the lower charging current typical of USB sources, a full charge may take approximately 2–3 hours.
Even after the display switches off, the device continues charging normally as long as it remains connected to power. For a complete charge via USB, simply allow additional charging time beyond the one-hour display period.
This behavior results from the internal charging display design of the shaver and does not indicate a defect in the tizi Tankrüssel.
